Looking forward to increased hotel activity this year? Savills predict that with tightening bid-ask spread, investor momentum will increase in the second half of this year.
With increased ADR particularly in London and Edinburgh, there is clearly still a demand for hotels in the UK market. The UK hotel industry has proved it's resilience particularly during the Covid years and as a result has "caught the eye of investors".
Savills think we can expect to see a real increase in hotel activity due to "significant investor appetite and a willingness to do deals".
I think it's a case of watch this space!
With the volume of transactions currently on the market and also being readied for sale, a narrowing bid-ask spread will facilitate greater volumes of transactions in the second half of the year.
