Will Leney

Senior Associate, Property Litigation

Will is a Senior Associate in the Property Litigation team. He works for clients with commercial property issues and disputes, spanning the entire property lifecycle, through the provision of advisory services, formal litigation, alternative dispute resolution and strategic risk management.

In particular his experience includes resolving matters for clients regarding rights of light issues, restrictive covenants, rent reviews, dilapidations, lease renewals, breaches of contract, tenant insolvency, forfeiture and day to day portfolio management.

He works with a broad range of Forsters’ clients including institutional investors, developers and corporate occupiers and works closely with Forsters’ transactional real estate team.

The majority of leases in England require tenants to pay one quarter of the rent on 25 March with landlords typically being able to forfeit the lease by peaceable re-entry if the rent is not paid within 14 or 21 days.
