Polly Calver

Associate, Family

Polly is an Associate in the Family team. Polly's areas of practice include all aspects of private family law, including resolving arrangements for children, handling the financial consequences of separation, cohabitation, and cases involving trusts and international elements.

She frequently acts for parents in children matters. Polly is committed to taking a child-focussed approach to resolving issues such as where children live, go to school and other aspects of parental decision-making, including in cases involving children with additional needs. She has experience of supporting parents through mediation and other forms of dispute resolution, as well as through a court-based process.

Polly has a wide range of experience acting for individuals in respect of the financial implications of separation. She has developed her practice in cases involving freelancers, entrepreneurs, and other individuals with unconventional income and asset structures, in addition to acting for homemakers and full-time parents.

She frequently advises on pre- and post-nuptial agreements.

Polly also has experience advising other family members (siblings and parents) on the implications of divorce and separation of a family member on the wider family.

Polly is a regular commentator on family law issues and has written for publications including Wealth Briefing and the International Adviser.

Polly graduated from Oxford University with a First in Law (Jurisprudence) and was awarded a distinction in her LPC. She trained at Forsters and qualified as an Associate in 2019.
